Abstract:
Argues that the World Wide Web (WWW) instigates radical paradigm transformation in global information rich civilizations. Societies with basic operational economic components depend on the web to perform daily commercial activities. E-commerce is accepted as a valid method of conducting business. Social integration and dependence on web has developed local, national, and global efforts to regulate criminal activities. Provides a high-level review of United States and United Kingdom legislation developed from the wide-scale escalation of the web into society. Supports the idea that legislative compatibility with an organization’s policy compatibility must be acknowledged to secure web application development methodologies.
