OSCE Declaration on Pluralism and Internet Governance

Abstract: 
Made at the 13th Central Asia Media Conference in Dushanbe, Tajikistan where more than 150 government officials, journalists, media experts, and civil society representatives focused on the role of the internet in promoting media pluralism in Central Asia, analyzed international standards and practices, and reviewed latest developments in media freedom. 19 points address the importance of freedom of expression, Internet literacy, technical development, and government’s active role in fostering a free flow of information.
