Abstract:
The Millennium Development Goals Report outlines the progress made at the UN Summit in 2010. World leaders gathered in New York to chart progress and address obstacles in meeting the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015. The MDGs are the UN's guidelines for sustainable development. (The eight goals are: eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality and empower women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat HIV/AIDS, malaria & other diseases, ensure environmental sustainability, and develop a global partnership for development).
