Information Communication Technology for Peace: The Role of ICT in Preventing, Responding to, and Recovering from Conflict

Abstract:
Aims to find the answer to "do ICTs have a special role in promoting promoting peace?" Instead of just creating propaganda, collecting intelligence, and communications and ICT weapons, ICTs can also be used to stop conflict, diffuse a potentially volatile situation or stabilize a post-conflict area. Use ICTs as a system for an early warning system and to help coordinatre disaster relief. ICT for Peace (ICT4P) will support research. Political cooperation is necessarsy for the success of using ICTs worldwide.
