Abstract:
A coordinating mechanism formalized by the Brasilia Declaration among three developing nations determined to “contribute to the construction of a new international architecture” and work together on global issues. All three are middle powers with consolidated industrial areas that share the common need to address social inequalities. IBSA has a flexible structure with no headquarter or permanent executive and is open to partnering with less developed countries with the same interests.
