Developing the Future Together: The Fifth Meeting of the Internet Governance Forum

Examines the first five years of the IGF as a dialogue between world governments and the Internet community focused on fostering the Internet’s “sustainability, robustness, security, stability, and development.” Opens with a message to IGF stakeholders from Sha Zukang, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, an introductory chapter from former Executive Coordinator of the IGF Secretariat Mr. Markus Kummer, and a shortened program for the 2010 meeting. The second section includes the Chairman’s Summary of the meeting followed by chronological transcripts of the Preliminary Events and Proceedings, a summary of the physical stock taking consultation of the Vilnius meeting in Geneva, and an Appendix, which includes a glossary of Internet Governance Terms and attendance statistics.
