Abstract:
Explains how the UK will achieve its decarbonization plan. The plan's goal includes transitioning to a low carbon economy while keeping prices low and maintaining energy security. The goal is intended to halve the carbon emissions by 2020 through increased technology. The UK will be less reliant on fossil fuels and therefore less subject to changes in energy prices. To achieve a low carbon future, the UK will install proven technologies, insulate buildings, replace coal run power stations with gas and renewable energy sources and use energy efficient buildings and transportation.
