Accountability and Oversight of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)

Abstract: 
Examines the current status of ICANN with respect to its legitimacy, accountability and oversight. Examines the tools, mechanisms and practices with regard to (self) regulatory and governance structures. Proposes guidelines and provides a framework for ICANN’s structure and activities. Outlines the critical parameters that define accountable governance structures and processes.
