WSIS Thematic Meeting on “Measuring the Information Society” – Final Conclusions

An overview of the Partnership on Measuring ICT for Development meeting that addressed the need for an internationally comparable set of indicators for measuring the global information society. The annex contains the core list of ICT indicators agreed upon by the delegates. Contains three sets of indicators: basic ICT infrastructure indicators, ICT access and usage by households and individuals, and ICT access and usage by enterprises. Reviews methodologies and model questions for households and enterprises and meeting conclusions reached on capacity building, benchmarking and monitoring the MDGs, and the future of the Partnership.
