U.S. Energy Policy Act of 1992 EPACT

THE U.S. ENERGY Policy Act of 1992 (EPACT) was signed into law on Oct. 24, 1992. This legislation is a comprehensive energy bill covering many areas, from gas leasing to nuclear power plant licensing to energy efficiency. For facilities professionals, the lighting energy-efficiency provisions will have a significant impact on lighting systems; another major impact will come from mandates that states adopt building energy-efficiency standards based on national standards.
