RISK MANAGEMENT IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY USING FACILITATED RISK ANALYSIS PROCESS (FRAP) (CASE STUDY: ACADEMIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS OF SATYA WACANA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY)

Abstract:
Information systems have a variety of vital roles they provide throughout society and in the academic processes in particular. One such example is the Academic Information System, or SIA- SAT. We need to protect information assets owned by universities, such as SIA-SAT. This paper examines issues such as how to identify and analyze risk of various academic information systems and how to make protection control to control for these risks. This paper concludes SWCU needs to put into place sustainable planning, also called contingency planning, as they develop and maintain academic information systems. Although important conclusions are reached for academic information systems, this paper also posits that research can be further developed to more fully investigate existing risks and evaluate the mechanisms meant to mitigate the risks of information systems.
