Restructuring energy systems for sustainability? Energy transition policy in the Netherlands

There has been an impetus recently to reorganize energy systems to a more sustainable approach. In order to do this, a transition management model has been considered a promising approach. The Netherlands has adopted this approach to precipitate the Dutch energy transition. A socio-technical theory is utilized to that aids the transition management. However, this approach puts some risk to the previous energy regime.
