Researchers Warn Open Sky Drone Policy Poses Cybercriminal Risk

Abstract:
University researchers in Israel conducted a comprehensive study regarding the implication of cybersecurity threats caused by drones. They claim that the task of geolocating drones is easy and hacking into their security can unveil a surprising amount of data. Another risk that is discussed in this article is the inability for citizens to differentiate between authorized and unauthorized drones at a time when drones have become prolific in everyday life. This idea really blends the real v.s. cyber realm. While drones are technical devices, their use does not immediately imply privacy concerns at a cyber-level.
