Abstract:
The Regional Wood Energy Development Programme in Asia is an organization that assists 16 developing countries in South Asia in planning development strategies for wood energy (fuel wood & charcoal), an important energy source in the region. The organization is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and funded by the Government of the Netherlands. The web site contains several reports, a newsletter, links to related web sites from member countries and elsewhere, and a wood energy database.
