Re: Thinking Consumption - Consumers and the Future of Sustainability

Abstract:
The Regeneration Consumer Study developed by BBMG, GlobeScan and SustainAbility is an online survey to assess the role that consumers play to pave the path to a sustainable future. It also helps to identify opportunities to address barriers for sustainable consumption. Responses were recorded from over 6,000 consumers spanning six major international markets (Brazil, China, Germany, India, United Kingdom and United States. The study aims to (1) understand consumer motivations that encourage them to lead sustainable lives, thus allowing companies to create products that have improved economic, social and environmental impact (2) provide insights and implications to allow for the production of more sustainable products, policies and practices (3) understand how companies can increase consumer engagement to solve sustainability issues.
