Marine Stewardship Council

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an organization that runs an assessment and labeling program for consumer goods and restaurant services. It certifies fisheries, retailers and restaurants complying with standards for sustainable fishing and seafood traceability, thus awarding and incentivizing best practice. It also conducts educational programs and consumer awareness drives to improve familiarity and recognition of the value and standards of the MSC label.
