Internet Governance Forum

The Internet Governance Forum's purpose is to support the United Nations Secretary-General in creating a multi-stakeholder policy dialogue regarding Internet governance, as mandated by the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). The IGF website acts as a cyberspace for the exchange of ideas and opinions regarding public policy issues, Internet governance mechanisms, and the availability of the Internet in developing countries between different stakeholders, which include inter-governmental organizations, academic, scientific, and technical communities, and the general public.
