International Telecommunication Union Development (ITU-D): Committed to connecting the world 2010 edition

The ITU-D mandates international solidarity in offering technical assistance to developing countries. It works to foster "digital inclusion"‌ by integrating the least developed countries in the world economy. Its tasks include: facilitating access of Internet resources, providing support in e-waste reduction and climate change, producing statistics related to the growth and spread of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), and helping developing countries achieve cybersecurity, among others.
