The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007

The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, also known as the 2007 Energy Bill, was signed into law by President Bush on December 19, 2007. Originally intended to reduce subsidies to the petroleum industry but those clauses were dropped. The bill focuses on research into renewable energy, fuel economy and biofuels, and fuel efficiency.
