Abstract:
Discusses jurisdiction on the Internet and the rule of law. Initially, attackers used the Internet as a way around legal action, believing technology made laws inapplicable. New innovations allow states to use electronic enforce decisions bypassing foreign recognition and judgement enforcement problems. Technology can be used to enable Internet users to respect the rule of law. Assertion of jurisdiction is vital for enabling electronic enforcement to continue.
