UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development: An Introduction

Abstract: 
Global forum and dialogue about how ICT can be used to influence the development goals that have been set. Use organizations for ICT for Development (ICT4D) to encourage collaboration. These areas have activity through Flagship Partnership Initiateves (FPIs), Communities of Expertise (CoEs), stakeholder networks and regional networks. Use ICTs in education, health, entreprenuership and development. Using ICT4D to achieve international development goals, technological solutions and encourage partnerships. Raise awareness at all levels of governance for developing ICT so it stimulates economic and social development. Include in new policy development "poverty eradication and financial crisis agenda, climate change, gender equality, health and education, and governance."
