ABSTRACT
This paper focuses on cryptography and encryption. It focuses its analysis on the two players in this topic: The US government and an alliance of Silicon Valley and civil liberaltarians who have been struggling over the topic through a series of conflicts throughout the years. The details how the Second Amendment is relevant to this conflict and in the paper argues the validity of Cryptography qualifying as a weapon and an arm. He ends by stating the importance of cryptography as a means of protecting citizens in cyberspace, and states how the Second Amendment should be constructed and retrofitted to ensure this.
