On hydrogen and hydrogen energy strategies: I: current status and needs

This article examines hydrogen energy as an alternative to classic fossil fuels. The article examines recent studies of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier for obtaining renewable energy. It examines the chemical properties of hydrogen as an energy source as well as its effect on the economy towards analyzing it as a sustainable energy source. Other properties are examined such as from an exergetic and environmental perspective.
