DESI Power - Alternative Energy Company

Decentralized Energy Systems Private Ltd (DESI Power) is a joint venture of TARA with DASAG (Development Alternatives), an engineering company based in Bangalore. DESI Power promotes the setting up of independent rural power producers to generate electricity from renewable fuels and distribute it in the local community. In its early stages, it has concentrated on biomass gasification (based on a gasifier developed by the Indian Institute of Science), but it is now also delivering solar photovoltaic based systems.
