World Telecommunication/ICT Development Report 2010: Monitoring the WSIS Targets

Abstract: 
This report is a mid-term review of 10 targets, proposing indicators to monitor progress and making recommendations on policies to achieve them. The 10 targets are: connect villages with ICTs, connect academic institutions with ICTs, connect scientific and research centers with ICTs, connect public libraries and other cultural centers with ICTs, connect hospitals and other health centers with ICTs, connect governmental departments, adapt primary and secondary school curricula to include the information society, connect the world's population with television and radio service access, encourage development of content and ensure the use of all world languages on the Internet, ensure more than half the world's population can access ICTs.
