WHO - Division of Emergency and Humanitarian Action (EHA)

This division of the World Health Organization is responsible for coordinating international response to emergencies and natural disasters that threaten the health of individuals. Some of EHA's main activities include epidemiological surveillance, control of communicable diseases, provision of specialized drugs and medical supplies, health emergency training, dissemination of public health information, safety promotion and injury control, and policy-making and planning.
