UN and Climate Change

Abstract: 
Climate change is an environmental problem resulting from increasing urbanization, consumption and energy use that impacts all realms of existence. It is global in nature - different actors all around the world impact it and every individual on the planet feels its effects. Global temperature rise is an increasing concern for all nations and solving this problem requires cooperation from all countries. This website provides a timeline for several negotiations that have taken place in the climate change arena since 1979. Each event is also accompanied with a link to more information about the agreement for readers who might be interested. This website highlights the roles of governance and institutions in mitigating climate change.
