Renewable Energy Prospects, United Arab Emirates: REmap 2030 analysis

Abstract: 
The potential for UAE’s renewable energy growth is assessed in this report. Areas covered in the report include: the UAE’s energy profile and renewable energy activities; policy frameworks for renewable energy; opportunities and barriers for renewable energy; the anticipated energy profile under existing and confirmed policies and activities; quantifying the capability of different renewable technologies to contribute to 10% renewable energy in total energy consumption; the physical potential and cost developments of renewables; and policy options for fast-tracking renewable energy uptake.
