Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol

Abstract:
The Parties to the Montreal Protocol established the Multilateral Fund (and subsequently the Secretariat of the Multilateral Fund) for the purpose of aiding developing nation members with green house gas emission levels above the Protocol's criteria to lower those levels to meet or exceed the criteria. The secretariat manages this fund by supporting projects involving feasibility studies and sharing of technology between nations, facilitated mainly by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the World Bank. This web site includes reports of meetings of the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund Under the Montreal Protocol in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, and Spanish. It also contains general information about the activities of the Multilateral Fund, and links to other related web sites.
