Hackers TRICKED a Tesla: The Race to Fooling Artificial Intelligence

Abstract:
A recent study performed by Tencent Keen Security Lab in China resulted in tricking a Tesla Model S into driving on the wrong side of the road in a controlled test track using white dots stuck on the tarmac. This hack did not involve tampering or altering the car in any way. Rather, the car’s artificial intelligence was simply tricked with white dots placed on the road. This type of problem is difficult to respond to as there really are no clear policies guarding against these kinds of tricks against automated systems.
