Private Tech Corporations are now more than ever susceptible to cyber threats for geopolitical reasons. Threats and Businesses are fundamentally interconnected. This article analyses what private companies could do to protect themselves from attacks -emphasizing not technical solutions but rather focusing on people. It outlines the benefits of human analyst and how individuals in these roles should look at the adversaries, motivations, capabilities, and techniques. Even after billions of dollars of spending, there is no product or code that can obviate the need for well-trained analyst. It also reminds that preparation is essential and that companies should upfront the cost of developing a cybersecurity strategy to deter attacks.
