COnnecting REpositories (CORE)

A data aggregator for free access to over several million scientific publications worth of content stored across more than 1,700 of Open Access repositories, including the Open University Open Research Online (ORO). Data is available in a Linked Data format. Helps users navigate past firewalls and prevents them from having to submit multiple queries to find full-text versions of articles. Focuses on developing good practice habits for service reuse and uptake with Open DOAR. Includes five applications: CORE Portal, allowing users to search aggregated publications, CORE Mobile, allowing users to download open access articles onto their Android phones, CORE Plugin, CORE API, enabling external systems to interact with the CORE repository, and Repository Analytics, which allows the monitoring of ingested metadata from repositories and provides statistics.
