Case-study on "waste-free" gas-solid reactions

Abstract: 
A chemical breakthrough which prevents pollution is the unexpected discovery of gas-solid reactions without any solvent or liquid phase that go to completion and give 100 % yield of known or new environmentally benign highly reactive products, some of which are only available by this new technique.
