AV-Test Security Report 2016/2017

This security report discusses in depth the statistics on malware - the type of malware that exists, the most rampant malware and who the perpetrators are in some cases. The article discusses how malware on Windows OS is decreasing as people are targeting other OS’s more, such as Android OS. It discusses how perpetrators are more likely to target Android OS than other smartphone OS as it is more profitable. I think this report has wonderful graphs that show the trend of distribution of malware over time and the top 10 malware that is spread. It really puts into perspective the attacks against Android OS compared to other OS and why we should be concerned about smartphone cybersecurity.
