In the Name of God: Faith Based Internet Censorship in Majority Muslim Countries

Abstract: 
Comments on the Cairo Declaration of Human Rights, a departure from the UN Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted by the Arab League in 1990 governs may of their internal laws including regulation of the freedom of speech. Many of these countries have Press and Publications laws which attempt to enforce the concept of Hisbah, which the Muslim concept of promoting virtue and preventing vice. These laws are also used as pretenses to block any opinion disagreeable to the regime in charge.
