Climate Change and International Security

Abstract: 
Focuses on the impact of climate change on international security. International security threats to Europe and the EU's responses. Climate change can be seen as a security threat because it is a threat multiplier (exacerbating "trends, tension and instability"). Lists the EU's plans to mitigate risk, which include: "conflict prevention, crisis management, and post-conflict reconstruction." A multilateral approach to addressing climate change is key to success.
