These Are the Worst Corporate Hacks of All Time

Abstract:
In this article, Bloomberg investigates and ranks the 200 most damaging hacks of the last decade. Every one of these attacks resulted in at least over 1 million accounts' data compromised, with Yahoo!'s 2013 hack ranking at the most compromised accounts with over 3 billion users' data revealed. The article is interactive and users can sort the hacks by name, industry, location, date, and No. of exposed records. The article is very illuminating in that it shows the extent and gravity of cyber attacks in all industries and governments. Yahoo's attack was not revealed until 2016, 3 years after it had occurred. Some of these hacks are from government offices such as Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts which had over 1 million records exposed in 2013. Keywords: worst, cyber, cyber attack, hacks, corporate, database, technology, retail, government, media.
